Dr Choy is a dedicated General Practitioner based in Maffra, Victoria, with many years of experience caring for the local community. He has a particular interest in aged and palliative care and is well known for his compassionate, thorough approach and commitment to patient-centred care.

Dr Choy is fluent in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Hokkien and Malay, allowing him to communicate effectively with patients from a wide range of backgrounds.

Practising at Johnson Medical Centre, Dr Choy works closely with a small, friendly team to coordinate care and ensure patients feel informed, comfortable and supported. He values continuous learning and uses evidence-based medicine to guide his clinical decisions.

Emma has a special interest in Occupational Medicine, holding a formal certificate in the field. She is licensed to conduct OGUK/OEUK medicals and has extensive experience in performing Pre-Employment Medical Assessments.

She is also particularly passionate about caring for older adults and managing chronic conditions, with a strong focus on diabetes care.

Dr. Emma Gault was born, raised, and trained in Gippsland, and is proud to serve her local community by delivering high-quality, compassionate healthcare. As a dedicated general practitioner, she brings a warm, patient-centred approach to every consultation.

Emma thrives on the diversity of regional general practice and is committed to supporting her patients with empathy, patience, and professionalism. Dr Sen is a Fellowed General Practitioner with extensive experience in critical care and emergency medicine. He holds two university degrees and has 17 years of clinical practice. Fluent in English, Tamil and Sinhalese, Dr Sivabalan is able to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Dr Sen currently practises at Johnson Medical Centre and our sister site Inglis Medical Centre and also works in emergency medicine at the local hospital, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to both general practice and acute care settings.

Outside of medicine, Dr Sivabalan enjoys staying active through sports, particularly cricket, badminton, and tennis and has a passion for music.

His dedication, experience, and approachable manner make him a trusted and valued member of the local healthcare community.

Dr Mudunna is a dedicated General Practitioner with over 23 years of medical experience. She earned her MBBS in Sri Lanka and completed a postgraduate Diploma in Family Medicine before moving to Australia. Dr Mudunna is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and a Fellow in Advanced Rural General Practice (FARGP).

With six years of experience working with Aboriginal communities, Dr Mudunna provides culturally sensitive, patient-centered care. She has a special interest in palliative care and geriatrics and is committed to improving the quality of life for patients in their later years.

Dr Mudunna currently practices at both Johnson Medical Centre and Inglis Medical Centre, bringing her expertise, compassion, and dedication to patients across the region.

Dr. Dandy has been practicing medicine since 1994 and has been dedicated to serving the Gippsland community since 1998. He enjoys the full spectrum of family medicine and is passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Drawn to the Gippsland region by his love for the outdoors, Dr. Dandy spends his free time sailing, mountain biking, and motorcycling.

Dr Dandy practices at both Johnson Medical Centre & our sister site Inglis Medical Centre.

Bronwen is a Registered Mental Health Nurse consulting at Johnson Medical Centre two days per week. Her nursing career commenced over 25 years ago with Enrolled Nursing studies, and she now holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Nursing, with recent training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Bronwen has over 7.5 years’ experience working within the public mental health system across a range of inpatient and community settings and is committed to providing holistic, evidence-based mental health care, with a particular focus on women’s mental health.

Bronwen provides free, short-term mental health counselling funded by Head to Health Wellington. To book an appointment with Bronwen, please contact Head to Health Wellington on (03) 514 3798 to self-refer, or alternatively obtain a referral from one of our General Practitioners.
